Programs

Degree Programs and Entrance Requirements

The College offers programs leading to the following degrees: Master of Divinity (MDiv), Bachelor of Theology (BTh), Master of Theological Studies (MTS), Licentiate in Theology (LTh). Master of Sacred Theology (STM), Master of Theology (ThM), and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degrees are offered through the Graduate Studies Council (GSC) of the Saskatoon Theological Union (STU).

Candidates planning to offer themselves for ordination should enter the College under the sponsorship of a diocesan bishop. All postulants for ordination within the Anglican Church of Canada must normally attend an assessment conference under the auspices of the Advisory Committee on Postulants for Ordination (ACPO) which advises the College of the sponsoring bishop.

Master of Divinity (MDiv)

The MDiv program is the standard program for the preparation of a candidate for

Bachelor of Theology (BTh)

The BTh is an alternative program for the preparation of candidates for ordination.

Contextual Education

In the first two years Contextual Education allows the student to enter more fully into the life of a local parish.

Master of Theological Studies (MTS)

The MTS program is a two-year program of study for persons who, while not contemplating ordained ministry

Licentiate in Theology (LTh)

The Licentiate in Theology is a two-year program designed for students who do not have a university degree.

Master of Theology (ThM), and Doctor of Ministry (DMin)

The ThM, and the DMin degrees are offered through the Graduate Studies Council (GSC).
